Quality in Education 101

This session is for the newcomer to quality in education. It will clarify principles and goals for applying quality practices and increasing student achievement. This session will provide a foundation for participants to make the most of NQEC by addressing questions such as:
- What does “quality” mean in a school system and classroom?
- How do schools use the philosophy of continuous improvement to get results?
- What do alignment and systems thinking look like in an educational organization?
- How do quality concepts affect student learning?
- How do mission and vision relate to the classroom environment?
- How are students, staff, and stakeholders involved in data-driven decision-making?
- What is the plan, do, study, act (PDSA) cycle? How can quality tools and PDSA drive improvements?
