Becky Martin

Becky MartinBecky Martin is continuous improvement facilitator for the Cedar Rapids Community School District in Iowa and has a master’s degree in education. She has 36 years of experience in education and has been working specifically with continuous improvement for the last 15 years. Martin is a certified trainer for ASQ’s ImpaQT Training™ for the classroom. She has published articles and has been a speaker at national conventions. She leads workshops that assist school districts in their continuous improvement efforts.

 

Maurice Ghysels

Maurice GhyselsBefore becoming superintendent of schools in California’s Mountain View Whisman School District, Maurice Ghysels was a quality consultant in corporations and high-tech start-ups. He earned a doctorate in education, organizational development, and training from the University of San Francisco. Ghysels is an ASQ member.
 

 

Bob Ewy

Robert EwyRobert Ewy is a consultant in strategic planning, continuous improvement, and process management. He was most recently the director of planning and quality programs for Community Consolidated School District 15 in Palatine, IL. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of organizational improvement, from the classroom to the boardroom.

As a performance coach, he most often works with senior leaders to develop or refine strategic plans, deploy plans, align organizational systems, develop process management and improvement methodology, develop assessment metrics, build district-level scorecards, and apply continuous process improvement principles and practices.
 

Jeff Lucas

Jeff Lucas Jeff Lucas is the deputy director for the Baldrige National Quality Program. Prior to this role, Lucas spent 18 years in public education, most recently as program manager for student assessment services at the Maryland State Department of Education. 

He has a variety of experiences helping to improve the performance of educational systems including serving as an expert consultant to the U.S. Department of Education in performance measurement, leading technical assistance visits for the Southern Region Education Board’s High Schools That Work program, and chairing the Workforce Information Committee of the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board. Lucas holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in organizational development from Johns Hopkins University.
